Hi! Just a lil update! I know I’ve been quiet. Right now It feels disingenuous posting anything due to current social and global events. It feels like the world is burning. But I’ve been working on my solo debut album behind the scenes. I took a step back from content, and I’m trying to keep my head on my shoulders. Recalibrating and setting up the chess board for this new era. Trying to make the best art that I can and channel my heart into my music.
Moving forward, I am making original music and touring as Lauren Babic. After a very successful battle test solo tour in December supporting Eyes Set To Kill, I am more motivated than ever. I am ready to go!
I am actively seeking a booking agent and label support. During this search, I've been met with feedback from many industry execs and some of them feel I should "make a new band name" and release my new music under a project name. Female fronted bands are hot rn we get it. But I believe there is a void in the rock space for a female rock star, and I want to fill that space. I WILL fill that space. I want to trailblaze. I look forward to completing my team with good hearted people who share my vision and believe in me. You can either get with that or not. 🤷🏻♀️
Through all this, I've been met with questions from fans and peers on what the status is on my other projects. I'm aware being in multiple projects over the years has been (oddly) confusing to many, but I understand how it can be disorienting.
About my bands - RHD is not an active band anymore. We aren't "broken up" and we're all still best friends… but we're all doing our own things for the foreseeable future. C88 was always an online band and we make music when we're available. Skylimit is something fun that we also do when we’re all available.
All that being said, I am READY to go. All gas no brakes. My live show is ready. My new music is almost ready. If you want to work with me, tour with me, let's friggen go.

This version somehow gives you the hint of desperation and breakdown.While Billie's version makes you feels like a huge void inside and a bolt of sadness. It's crazy how the same song sang differently gives different emotions.

Billies and Lauren’s versión are obviously drastically different. But coming from someone with depression, they both express different stages of a depressive episode. Lauren’s to me represents what I feel like when my depression turns into anger, frustration and desperation. It perfectly symbolized my anger with myself and my depression. Billies is the stage after my anger has gone and I feel calm, numb and hopeless. The calm of the storm but not in a good way. It represents the stage when my curtains are drawn, in my dark room and unable to get out of bed and feeling tired and out of it. Like I’m disassociated with reality.

billies version is the hopelessness, the numbness like the calm after the storm when all said is and done and I cry in the dark alone. this version is a rage, the anger like the fiery of a hurricane when I've built up my emotions and they finally get released.
