Survive for $1 Billion Dollars - Which would you rather be in:
Near the coast at the landfall point of something like hurricane Melissa (Cat 5 185mph wind, slow moving)
or
In an EF5 tornado like Joplin 2011?
To be honest... idk. Neither would have a high survival rate. And tornadoes hit with such sudden ferocity, at least you can see a hurricane coming and prepare. But a hurricane like Melissa has intense winds that last hours, along with massive waves and flooding rain for extended periods of time. I think if I had to choose, I would try to ride out the hurricane rather than an EF5 nader. What would you choose?
