if music is her therapy, why does she only care about the views and streams? She obviously does music mostly for recognition and money because if she didn’t she wouldn’t be crying about it not doing so well.

I get that it's upsetting, but her response just seem so ungrateful. What about people who love your music? Why are you so focused on those who don't listen to you? You can't force people to like you or your art. But what you can do is actually appreciate those who do give you their attention, time and money. I wish Gabbi focused more on that.

If music is therapeutic to you maybe you shouldn’t make it public, it can make you feel bad about it (in situations like this). You wouldn’t read your journal to everyone, just saying

“This is my dream” It’s becoming very apparent that her dream isn’t making music, it’s having people love her. Which is probably why she doesn’t see her dream come true, because she’s too focused on trying desperately to make people like her instead of just focusing on making her music or doing whatever she loves.

It’s not your “dream” when you complain about numbers.

Imagine saying “everyone hates me” after getting support from over 700,000 people on a song in one month your success in your goals should not depend on numbers. And if it’s a form of therapy it should have nothing to do with numbers! If you’re truly proud of it you should still be proud no matter how it’s perceived.

She's exactly those types of people who determine their worth based on how many Instagram or youtube views you get. As someone who's learning to be in the creative field, making art and making sure you enjoy doing it is so much more important than the amount of recognition it gets. Even having a small fanbase is something to be very grateful about. There is also ALWAYS going to be criticism and feedback. There is no escaping from that no matter what level of skill you have.
