Poor kid. They must protect the whole stadium to avoid situations like this. The issue is not the lawsuit, it is the safety of us as fans.

Seeing that player cry about killed me. Thank god she is recovering. My heart hurts after this story
cay_shinae (4 years ago)
I'd feel so bad for the person who hit her because they'd feel so guilty but it was just an accident
SandraNelson063 (7 years ago)
A lot of these players are dads. This would about half kill them.

The fact the that child is still alive is a miracle

It breaks my heart that, that little kid got hurt. But it also really warms my heart up when I see people forgetting about the game, and praying and dealing with it with everybody else.

THIS WAS 8 YEARS AGO. Why is this in my newsfeed? I don't even like baseball.
rcenal6995 (4 years ago)
At least they showed compassion and called for more netting

The way all the players were looking so upset and caring really makes you feel sorry for them. They didn't mean for this to happen and the stadium owner is to blame for not having protective netting.

it’s sweet how all the players were genuinely concerned for her.

I just looked for an update on the girl and found one! She is doing much better and has completely healed from her short term injuries. She may have to get surgery in the future for her eye and nose, but at the moment is doing good! I’m glad she is okay and that she will recover.
chloeweightman8492 (7 years ago)
That really is sad, but I blame whoever thought it was fine to have no netting!
paulthellama9176 (7 years ago)
You can really tell some of these players really care more about their fans than the actual game from their reactions.

The heck is wrong with the stadiums over there by not having netting?
laylatorres4021 (6 years ago)
i mean, yea, he did it, but it wasn’t his fault.
_simon.s_ (7 years ago)
Setting up an extended netting is cheaper than a lawsuit!
refraction.9978 (7 years ago)
safety net has left the chat

What happened is such a horrible accident but it brought tears in my eyes watching everyone forget about the game and care so much for this precious little girl. I sure hope that she has recovered well.
