I'm an immigrant and I can say that I had to have all current vaccinations, a blood test, and I had to have a chest x-ray to prove that I didn't have tuberculosis and it had to be by a doctor 6 hours away from my home at the American embassy headquarters in Montreal. These are all things that I was aware of when I was applying for my fiance visa.
