I think his greatest attribute is that he understands the psyche and mindset of NFL people. Be it coaches, players, GM's, etc. Let's face it...he cheated in SpyGate. But, almost every coach out there would have rested on his laurels with that success. Instead, Belichick continued to work on how to improve his team and started to get into the heads of competitors of 'The Patriot Way.' The reality is that he is on the forefront of understanding schematics and game theory. And he knows how to develop and coach talent.

I would also mention how well he manages the team salary cap wise. He doesn't over pay for players, his teams are deeper than others because he expects injuries to occur, and it shows by injuries no derailing his teams season like many other teams do.

What I admire most about Belichick is his brilliant last minute snap decisions, use of time outs, the play clock. All the things the coach can do in those critical moments he does better than anyone.
