Last I read, that he was in the ICU intubated and in critical condition. Im glad he made it up to ICU. Kudos to the medical staff at the stadium and the ER staff who received him.

I had a buddy who passed away in middle school from a hit to the chest trying to pick off a runner stealing second and the kid lowered his head and my buddy jumped up to catch the ball and tag him and it just happened so fast! RIP Chandler and hopefully this Buffalo Bills player will make a full recovery

I completely agree. I experienced this with my daughter when she was only 5. The key point when I knew it was Commotio cordis when he stood up an had a delayed response of a few seconds after the heart stopped. Same thing happened to my daughter. She stood up walked approximately 3 steps an was gone. She survived thank God. Prayers for Hamlin 🏽

To think thousands of times football players have been hit in the chest area and this has never happened before is shocking. Prayers for him and his family

I had a friend who was in a coma for 3 weeks from a car crash. He is still here to this day. I whole Heartily believe Damar will survive it might not be in a week or 2 weeks but I really think he will wake up & survive a miracle 🏽 Let’s continue to pray.

Funny, 5 minutes after the hit, you got all figured out.

Great description. I’m a Firefighter/Paramedic and was watching it at work, with my coworkers. My immediate reaction was that the hit to the chest put him in to v-fib, secondary to commotio cordis. Like you said, it’s rare to have happen. It’s even rarer to see it live in front of you. I have good optimism that the early cpr will prove effective in him having a good outcome. Thanks again, and may God watch over him and those caring for him.

This is horrible, sending prayers to his family who are at the hospital with him. Keep fighting Damar!

Was there tonight for the Bengals, the vibes were unsettling, nobody was sure of anything other than the fact that the game was no longer a priority and his health was most important. Absolutely terrifying experience. Prayers for Damar, his family, and the Buffalo Bills.
