With all due respect, there's been geothermal activity there at that location, South of Reno, and all around the state of Nevada. I was a geothermal surveyor in and around the state back in the 70's.

I used to live in steamboat on the toll road side. My street was Hot Springs. The well water was warm and orange. It would destroy clothes if the filter went bad.
