ABC News Texas can require the Ten Commandments to be displayed in public schools, a U.S. appeals court ruled Tuesday in a victory for conservatives who have long sought to incorporate more religion into classrooms. The 9-8 decision by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals delivered a boost to backers of similar laws in Arkansas and Louisiana. Opponents have argued that hanging the Ten Commandments in classrooms proselytizes to students and amounts to religious indoctrination by the government. In a lengthy majority opinion, the conservative-leaning appeals court in New Orleans rejected those arguments in Texas, saying the requirement does not step on the rights of parents or students. https://abcnews.com/US/wireStory/texa... ABC News A 78-year-old woman has died from snake bites in Northern California, marking the third deadly snake bite victim in the state this year. The woman was walking in a rural area when she suffered three venomous snake bites, the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office said. She was treated at a hospital but died on April 10. While about 7,000 to 8,000 people are bitten by venomous snakes each year in the U.S., only about five of those people die from the bites, according to the CDC. if anyone’s wondering how she’s doing now, she’s participating in a drug trial that allows her to go outside in the sun for a short amount of time. she’s doing great

She is so mature for her age. She understands that the kids that make fun of her isn’t personal, it’s just because they’re to immature to understand. She is very outspoken and kind. My respect for her really reached its peak when she said that other kids have it way worse than her. Not many kids understand that. I see very bright things in her future.
