James was a massive star by the time dukes of hazard came about. Apparently everyone on the set loved him, Legend

I really wish people would get over themselves and watch the show to see the real meaning of it it was about friendship and family

James Best was incredibly unique and unbelievably unsung. He deserves all the praise and recognition this world can offer. Love and respect!

As a kid in Australia growing up on the Dukes, I am thankful for one of the most wholesome shows EVER.

James lived and died in my little hometown of hickory North Carolina . He said he liked it here because he liked to fish and it had good fishing with a lot of privacy. He also had a restaurant here called Roscoe’s place.

James, "Rosco" made me laugh quite a bit in Dukes Of Hazzard. Sad to hear he passed. He was such a nice guy.
