We are a few months in to Year of the Horse, and Gene Autry has a song for that. Our YouTube Clip of the Week is "As Long as I Have My Horse" from Gene's 1951 Columbia Pictures film "Whirlwind." Gene sings this humorous number while riding Champion, World's Wonder Horse. That's leading lady Gail Davis trying her best to ignore Champion (and Gene).

Today is Tax Day and Gene Autry has a song for that!
Here in the United States April 15th is the official IRS Tax filing deadline. As a country, we've been paying Uncle Sam an annual income tax for decades. Gene Autry even sang about this 84 years ago on his Melody Ranch Radio Show. The song "I Paid My Income Tax Today" was written by Irving Berlin. Gene Autry performed it only once and never recorded it.
