United Nations July 12 is Int'l Day of Combating Sand and Dust Storms Sand and dust storms (SDS) present a formidable and wide-spread challenge to achieving sustainable development in its economic, social and environmental dimensions. * Approximately 2 million tonnes of sand and dust enter the atmosphere annually. * SDS mostly occur in dry and desert regions, but can be carried long distances to impact regions much further away. * Dust particles, circulated by SDS, provide nutrients to marine ecosystems, but can also contribute to coral mortality and hurricane formation. * SDS can cause respiratory diseases, heart disorders, and eye and skin irritation and can also spread other diseases, such as meningitis. * Aviation and ground transportation can be disrupted by SDS. * Agricultural practices and productivity can be impacted by SDS, which can also contribute to desertification processes. * Sustainable water and land management practices can decrease the impacts of SDS. #SDSDay #United4Land (1 year ago)

Messages from BTS
Lynnonmegently (6 months ago)
This song is so underrated. The lyrics are incredibly uplifting they carry a sense of hope and warmth that stays with you long after the song ends. More people need to hear it and feel the message it brings one of the biggest reasons why BTS is truly one of a kind is because their music speaks straight to the heart. It’s not just about catchy beats or trendy sounds their songs carry real meaning. The lyrics resonate deeply, offering comfort, strength, and connection. That’s what sets them apart.

I'm still not processing that they made the whole UN building as their stage to perform , I'm very proud of them , no proud is also an understatement to describe PROUD TO BE AN ARMY

Imagine just wanting to sing, rap, dance and produce music and you end up a diplomat. BTS are absolutely amazing and are literally changing the world. I’m so proud and they should be proud too!

Am I the only one who was watching this like a PROUD MOM ??
riktasaha1710 (4 years ago)
I'm still processing the fact that they actually have a performance at UN assembly . It's a history itself . Proud of these boys . They are not only South Korea's pride but the pride of whole world .
anjxli (4 years ago)
The fact that they literally performed at the UN HEADQUARTERS is insane. At this point proud is just an understatement, i feel way more than that for these boys. Besides being amazing idols they are the most humble and kind human beings. They've worked hard to reach where they are today and they completely deserve it. They are a true inspiration. We stan the right people.
