Garcia edited Hunter's lyrics too, sometimes just picking out the lines he liked best from what Hunter had written, and Hunter was fine with that. So it's not accurate to portray Hunter as generally precious about his words. He just didn't like working with Weir. Maybe it was the specific kinds of changes that Weir made. Maybe it was personality conflict.

I really enjoy hearing Bobby on Jerry tunes as much as his own, he fills so many holes in the music to give Jerry and Phil the room to their thing. It's in fact music to my ears
