๐April 16. Day 16 of 21 days of memories with Prince. For some reason in this picture he put me at the center. I look like a mob boss. Funny story. I finally got to introduce my dad, uncle and brother to Prince backstage at Madison Square Garden. My dad was not very tall and neither was my uncle and brother. In fact they were all the same height. It was winter so they all had on long trench coats that went literally to the floor. My dad being a classical pianist warned me that this was not his โtypeโ of music before the show but after the show his whole opinion changed. I introduced my entourage to Prince and they shook hands. My dad then proceeded to tell Prince (honest to a fault like me I guess!) that he was pleasantly surprised by his performance and did not expect to like his show or music but ended up really enjoying his show and thought he was a magnetic performer. Prince was very kind to him and got pulled away by another person wanting to meet him backstage. My dad said to me, โhe is a handsome manโ. I guess Princeโs doe eyes got to my dad like they got to everyone else that got to look at his eyes up close and personal. My dad could even feel his charm and energy. After my family left, Prince saw me in the hallway and said โok Elisa letโs talk about your dadโ. I was like๐ณ He made a reference that my dad looked like he was in the mob. I laughed it off and he kept rolling with it telling the people around him โdid you see Elisaโs dad?โ I kept saying โyes I know people say he looked like John Gotti and actually called him โthe bossโ when we were in Italy on a vacation once-but I said he isnโt in the mob! He liked to joke around a lot. I miss his sense of humor and his laugh. #prince #21days #notinthemobwepromise

1994 - PRINCE STEALS THE SHOW
The night before the First MTV European Music Awards, Prince attended a concert at the Trรคnenpalast (Palace of Tears). He decided to play a secret show there after the awards ceremony. Instead of going to the Aftershow-party, many stars, including Bryan Adams, preferred to see Prince perform.

Prince was one of those guitarist that most folk didn't realize how good he actually was..He was a brilliant guitarist, He had this very distinctive sound and quality to his playing that distinguishes him from other guitarist..He could play at full facility whilst singing passionately on the mic without even looking at his fretboard..A mark of a exceptional guitarist...

For people complaining about his guitar work, it was a downpour you silly kids. Also one of the biggest concerts in television history. He played it cool. Just like the twins in high heels that never slipped. That type of greatness only comes around once.
