The beginnings of Holland-Dozier-Holland...a priceless artifact from Detroit

This song is so damn good. Every version is great...the original, and the covers by The Who and Motorhead. It's really the mark of excellent songwriting that it lent itself to different but all excellent renditions.

I grew up in Philly and this song was a big hit

Y'know, I grew up with cover versions (the Who, Motorhead, the Sonics). This is the FIRST-EVER time I heard the original!

Real punch.  The long intro is typical of Motown back then and many were perfect to start off a radio soul show.  I used it, at the University of Maryland.

Used to love rockin to this one at Wagner's Ball Room, (Broad & Olony), in the early 60's.

Just reading the Keith Moon biography "Dear Boy" where the author (Tony Fletcher) says The Who's "Magic Bus" owes a little bit to this song! More than just a little bit i think!

Love Motown music

I gotta agree with Eddie Holland, when he says if Brian and Lamont have taken the tempo down just a notch this song would have been a bigger hit, this is still a great song tho

I was in elementary school when I bought this! Reminds me of the girl I liked back then: Sharon!

As a guy who grew up in Detroit and suburbs I just loved this song when it first came out! Sounds outstanding even today!
